Key Responsibilities:

Role Summary:
The Oncology Certified Nurse will assist physicians in delivering comprehensive care and education to patients undergoing treatment.

Qualifications:

  • Nursing Degree from an accredited institution

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Active RN License in the state of practice
  • Current Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification
  • Valid CPR and BLS certifications
  • Valid Driver's License for travel between clinic locations as necessary

Experience Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with hematology and oncology patients in clinical or hospital environments
  • Strong assessment skills to evaluate patient needs and conditions. Must possess excellent critical thinking abilities and the capacity to respond effectively in emergencies. Proficiency in English with strong oral and written communication skills is essential.

Communication Proficiency:
Strong command of the English language. Knowledge of a second language is advantageous but not mandatory. Effective communication skills (oral, written, presentation), active listening, and the ability to provide constructive feedback are required.

  • Must demonstrate the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-site environment while managing competing priorities and demands from various stakeholders.

Technical Skills:
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.

Travel Requirements:
Less than 25%

Standard Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Occasional overtime and weekend shifts may be necessary based on operational needs. #AONN
