Part Time Infusion Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Part Time Infusion Nurse at American Oncology Network, Inc. This role will involve providing high-quality patient care and support in our infusion clinic.
Key Responsibilities- Administer chemotherapeutic agents to patients as ordered by physicians, adhering to ONS standards and guidelines.
- Accurately and safely dispose of biohazardous waste, following OSHA and HRS guidelines.
- Conduct ongoing patient assessments and document treatment rendered in OncoEMR.
- Ensure accurate charges are captured by following guidelines for medication administration.
- Follow the Company's I.D. policy and procedure with every patient encounter.
- Act as moderator/instructor for chemotherapy classes as needed, educating patients and families about medications, side effects, and treatment plans.
- Prioritize incoming calls and messages from patients, family members, hospitals, nursing facilities, pharmacies, and physician offices, responding accordingly in a timely manner.
- Assist with inventory and re-stocking medical supplies, recommending purchases as needed.
- Have working knowledge of dispensing medications via Nucleus, performing cycle counts, and restocking medications within the appropriate time frame.
- Enter all appropriate patient charges into Nucleus.
- Attend annual Safety/OSHA training meetings and mandatory staff meetings as necessary.
- Maintain and ensure the confidentiality of all patient and employee information at all times.
- Assist in training new employees to related job duties.
- Be prepared to work at any Company location to meet business needs.
- Registered Nurse, licensed in the State of employment, with experience in IV therapy.
- Experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital is required.
- The ability to assess patient needs and conditions is essential, with strong critical thinking skills and the ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Current CPR & BLS certifications are required.
- Fluency in the English language with excellent oral and written communication skills is required.
- Valid Driver's license, in state of residency, for travel to clinics.
