Overview:

HGA offers a remarkable internship opportunity for students eager to acquire practical experience within a nationally recognized interdisciplinary design firm. As an intern at HGA, you will witness the integration of academic knowledge with real-world applications across various disciplines and projects. This experience will enhance your understanding of your field while also emphasizing the importance of teamwork and corporate culture. You will connect with mentors, forge friendships, and enjoy your time while gaining valuable skills, networking opportunities, and practical experience to discuss with future employers.

This internship is a paid position, designed to be part-time during the academic year, with the potential for full-time engagement during the summer months. The work schedule is set for Monday through Thursday, from 8 AM to 4 PM, with flexibility available to accommodate your academic commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with department leadership on billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable processes.
  • Manage the routing and processing of accounts payable invoices.
  • Assist in the preparation and reconciliation of General Ledger accounts, including journal entries.
  • Support the month-end closing process and financial review activities.
  • Contribute to the preparation of accurate and timely monthly financial reports for the Finance Committee and Board of Directors.
  • Assist in the preparation for annual audits.
  • Engage in various organizational and special financial projects.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be at least a college sophomore pursuing an undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential, particularly Excel.
  • Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality are required, along with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Must be a team player with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality is crucial.
  • Availability to work a minimum of 15 hours per week.
  • Willingness to work in the office as needed.

Compensation:

Salary Range: $20/hour
