Work Schedule: Full-Time - 36 hours per week, with shifts from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm or 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, including rotating weekends and holidays.
Job Overview:
Under the guidance of a registered nurse, the Patient Safety Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining continuous observation and monitoring of assigned patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide constant and direct observation of patients.
- Monitor and report changes in patients' physical, emotional, and mental states.
- Document observations accurately in the electronic health record.
- Assist healthcare staff with patient mobility and personal hygiene tasks.
- Support with feeding, toileting, and repositioning patients as needed.
- Engage in additional duties as assigned, including:
- Acting as a Personal Protective Equipment Observer to assist healthcare professionals.
- Conducting wellness screenings for staff upon arrival.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Minimum of six months in a healthcare setting preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills and Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR.
- Genuine interest in the health and well-being of others.
- Ability to work independently and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Strong time management skills and physical stamina.
