Job Summary

EmergeOrtho is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Patient Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for greeting patients, answering phones, and ensuring a seamless check-in experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and visitors, answer phones, and provide exceptional customer service
  • Check in patients, verify demographics, and confirm insurance eligibility
  • Collect payments, deposits, and co-payments
  • Complete daily reports to maintain office efficiency
  • Assist with scheduling appointments, preparing charts, and processing orders
  • Provide excellent communication with staff and providers regarding patient needs
  • Maintain a pleasant and cooperative demeanor while performing all duties
Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent previous experience
  • Sound communication skills and excellent customer service
  • Previous experience as a check-in specialist is recommended, but not required
  • Experience and knowledge of insurance guidelines and insurance entry
  • Ability to handle high patient volumes and maintain composure in stressful situations
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize

EmergeOrtho offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for professional growth and development. This position will be included in a mandatory backup rotation for urgent care coverage on Monday-Friday, Saturdays, and Sundays. Additional compensation will be paid at an on-call hourly rate.
