As an Event Safety Specialist, you will be instrumental in maintaining our esteemed reputation by safeguarding the well-being of guests, personnel, and property.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish a positive presence by adhering to the professional standards set by both the client and BEST.
  • Conduct regular patrols of designated areas to deter unauthorized actions and ensure the safety of all individuals present.
  • Oversee access points, perform bag inspections, execute entry screenings, and remain alert to any suspicious activities or individuals.
  • React swiftly and effectively to security incidents or emergencies, including medical situations, disturbances, or unauthorized access.
  • Work in collaboration with event personnel, law enforcement, and emergency responders to coordinate security operations and address any arising issues.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by assisting guests, responding to inquiries, and providing directions as necessary.
  • Document and report any security-related occurrences or incidents to the appropriate supervisory personnel, law enforcement, or medical teams.
  • Maintain accurate records of relevant activities and submit this documentation to the management team.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and guidelines to uphold a high standard of professionalism and security effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age (age requirements may vary based on local regulations).
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required (some college education is preferred).
  • Prior experience in event security, law enforcement, or a related field is beneficial.
  • Strong physical fitness is necessary, with the ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Excellent observational and problem-solving abilities are essential.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules is important.
  • A valid security license is preferred or willingness to obtain one (if required by local regulations).
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
