Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse II to join our team at UNC Health. As a member of our 4 East Pulmonary and Nephrology Intermediate Care Unit, you will provide high-quality patient care to individuals with complex medical conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and prioritize patient needs, developing individualized care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including medication management, wound care, and respiratory therapy.
  • Monitor and manage patients with ventilators, peritoneal dialysis, arrhythmias, and cardiac drips, utilizing critical thinking and clinical skills to address complex issues.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting self-advocacy and empowerment.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
  • One (1) year of nursing experience.
