Key Responsibilities- Assist in the development, implementation, and administration of policies and procedures related to respiratory care.
- Perform all roles and responsibilities of a Respiratory Therapist, including assessing, planning, delivering, coordinating, integrating, and evaluating respiratory care related to patient needs.
- Contribute to the support of patients through interdisciplinary teamwork and ensure that the care provided is consistent with applicable standards, regulations, statutes, and state and federal law.
- Provide leadership to department staff, serving as a resource and mentor.
- Assist the Respiratory Supervisor, Manager, and Director with elements of planning, organizing, controlling, climate setting, leadership, and operational duties.
- Provide clinical training regarding respiratory care to Nursing staff and Providers.
- Participate in ongoing departmental research and hospital-sponsored educational activities.
- Lead and take ownership of a PI project.
- 2-year associate degree in respiratory care or Graduate of a COARC accredited school for Respiratory Care as required by NYS to obtain license.
- 5 years clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist/Technician required.
- NYSRTT (Current NYS license as a Respiratory Therapist) required.
- RTT (NBRC certification) required.
- BLS - Basic Life Support (required within 6 months from date of hire).
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (required within 6 months from date of hire).
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred (required within 6 months of date of hire).
- NRP - Neonatal Life Support preferred.

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. The above compensation range represents a good faith belief of the compensation range by Bassett Healthcare Network, and its entities and affiliates, at the time of this posting or advertisement. Pay Range Minimum: USD $35.33/Hr. Pay Range Maximum: USD $52.99/Hr.
