HomeTown Pharmacy Inc is seeking an experienced IT professional to lead the IT Department and support IT applications/systems and be responsible for deployment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Information Technology Management, with 3-5 years in healthcare related Information Technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing the strategic direction of the Company's infrastructure information systems (IS); executing this strategy in collaboration with Company leadership. Key responsibilities include overseeing technical projects in alignment with organizational goals, directing and managing the effective delivery of network services, applications, disaster recovery systems, data security and processes. The IT Director will also be responsible for developing internal policies and procedures, including those related to auditing and compliance. Additionally, the IT Director will be responsible for developing IT hardware and software standards and sources of supply, coordinating with and directing information engineers to find solutions to manage business activities, supervising and developing a team of IT professionals, and preparing departmental financial budget in collaboration with the executive team. The IT Director will also be responsible for identifying and recommending new technologies and services that will improve efficiency, processes, and operations, reviewing requests for additional services and upgrades, assessing the costs and benefits to the organization. The IT Director will also be responsible for approving the purchase, license, or other acquisition of hardware, software, or services needed to meet company needs, maintaining pace with technological progress, economic change, and Company needs by directing continual improvements of IS staff, equipment, and procedures. The IT Director will also be responsible for ensuring continuous data security measures are in place throughout the business and tested to reduce risk, developing integrations for sharing medical information within the infrastructure tools and plans, managing IT contracts and vendor relationships, monitoring information technology performance and recommending improvements. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly master technology used in the organization, be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, and have a comprehensive understanding of HIPAA and PHI requirements. The ideal candidate will also have demonstrated organizational skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and attention to detail. A Bachelor's Degree in an IT-related field or in Business Administration with an IT emphasis is required.
