Overview:


The Logistics Hub Operations Manager oversees all operational and logistical functions at the AIT Middle Mile Network HUB locations during their designated shift.

Responsibilities encompass establishing and adhering to safety standards in alignment with AIT Worldwide Logistics' and OSHA regulations.

This role involves providing leadership to all members of the Hub operations team, including Hub Operations Agents, Warehouse Leads, and Forklift Operators.

While fulfilling supervisory responsibilities, the Logistics Hub Operations Manager serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all Middle Mile Network operations, including freight routing, re-routing to meet service requirements, and adding lanes as necessary to ensure freight service.

Collaborating closely with the AIT Middle Mile Network Corporate team, the Logistics Hub Operations Manager will devise a strategy and coordinate activities to deliver exceptional service.

This position operates in accordance with AIT Worldwide Logistics' Core Values, providing expertise in personnel management, workflow optimization, cost control, and process enhancement.


Work Schedule:
Wednesday-Saturday: 5:00pm to 05:00am

Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all personnel within the AIT Middle Mile Network Hub operations as assigned.

Ensure that dock activities are executed as planned while simultaneously supporting Hub Operations Agents, Warehouse Leads, and Forklift Operators in their roles.

Provide input for staffing updates and the scheduling of additional linehauls to facilitate freight service.

Assist in identifying and enhancing service and operational challenges within the Hub station, focusing on on-time delivery, accurate data entry, and efficient warehouse management.

Monitor shipment performance and develop strategic processes to proactively enhance efficiencies and minimize dwell time at the assigned location.

Directly manage all staff through team coaching on performance, job assignments, and training.

Oversee staff scheduling to optimize productivity and reduce costs, ensuring that the workforce remains active and efficient, making decisions regarding overtime and hours during the assigned shift.


Ability to comprehend, process, and execute tasks based on data provided by management and other sources, delivering actionable insights from the analyzed data/information.

Conduct daily pre-shift meetings to ensure alignment


Gather information regarding activities before, during, and after shifts, and proactively present this information to the Hub Manager.

Ensure a safe working environment through consistent adherence to safety protocols and procedures.

Provide comprehensive operational services directly to customers when required.

Exhibit leadership through strong work ethic and high performance.

Coordinate product pickups and deliveries with transportation companies and route drivers accordingly.

Monitor staff overtime and schedules.

Develop and implement corrective action plans when performance targets are not achieved.

Formulate and execute the station's operational strategy for AIT.

Qualifications:
Education Qualifications

High School Diploma Required

Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Experience Qualifications

5+ years of experience in operational logistics or supply chain management preferred.

5+ years of experience in warehouse management required.

5+ years of supervisory or managerial experience required.
