Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team at Lloyd Wood Education Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing educational services to students with special needs in a Pre-K setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
  • Provide instruction and support to students in a Pre-K classroom setting
  • Collaborate with other educators and support staff to ensure student success
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to ensure student success
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
  • Valid Alabama teaching certificate in Special Education
  • Ability to work with students with a range of special needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other educators and support staff
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with students with special needs in a Pre-K setting
  • Knowledge of child development and special education principles
  • Ability to use technology to support instruction and student learning
Working Conditions

The Special Education Teacher will work in a Pre-K classroom setting at Lloyd Wood Education Center. The successful candidate will be required to work collaboratively with other educators and support staff to ensure student success.
