Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced educator to join our team as a High School Teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Social Science to 9th-12th grade students and will be expected to provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that meets the needs of all students
  • Assess student abilities and progress, and provide feedback and guidance as needed
  • Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure student success
  • Participate in professional development activities to stay current with best practices in education
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Science or related field
  • Alabama State Department of Education Teaching Certification
  • Experience working with 9th-12th grade students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Science or related field
  • Experience teaching in a high school setting
  • Knowledge of curriculum design and implementation
  • Ability to use technology to enhance teaching and learning
