Job Title: Heavy Equipment Driver - Concrete Mixer SpecialistAbout the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced heavy equipment driver to join our team as a concrete mixer specialist. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for safely driving and operating a truck equipped with an auxiliary concrete mixer to deliver concrete mix to various job sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with Department of Transportation regulations and guidelines to ensure safe and efficient transportation of materials.
  • Inspect the truck at the start of each workday to identify any potential issues or maintenance needs.
  • Drive the truck to designated locations for unloading in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Back the truck under the batching or loading hopper to receive concrete, taking care to maintain accurate load measurements.
  • Climb the ladder to visually inspect the load for consistency and quantity, adjusting trailer axle pressure as necessary to optimize weight distribution.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions from supervisors and colleagues to ensure seamless execution of tasks.
  • Maneuver the truck to deliver concrete to the designated point of delivery, coordinating with site personnel to facilitate smooth delivery.
  • Assemble concrete chutes as required, demonstrating expertise in hand and foot control operations.
  • Clean the truck after loading and delivery, maintaining a high level of attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
Requirements
  • A valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is essential for this role.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent education degree.
  • A minimum age requirement of 18 years applies.
  • Pre-employment drug screening and criminal background checks will be conducted.
  • A valid Medical Card is required, as per DOT regulations.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment exposed to:

  • Moving mechanical parts
  • Outside weather conditions
  • Fumes or airborne particles
  • Vibration

The noise level is typically moderate.

Estimated Salary

$65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
