Role Summary

Anthropologie is seeking a skilled Merchandise Planner to drive sales growth by developing and executing sound merchandise plans that align with company goals for sales, turn, and margin. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of retail math concepts and applications, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage OTB (Open-to-Buy) plans to ensure optimal inventory levels and minimize stockouts.
  • Forecast sales, markdowns, receipts, and gross margin using TXT Planning to inform buying and production decisions.
  • Analyze attribute planning data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance summaries to stakeholders, highlighting areas for improvement and proposing action plans.
  • Conduct style count productivity analysis to optimize inventory levels and reduce waste.
  • Establish and maintain style count plans by channel and store cluster to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Support the buying and production teams with system and view requirements.
  • Analyze seasonal hindsight data to inform future buy plans and drive sales growth.
  • Collaborate with the buying team to analyze attribute, sizing, and price point data to inform new assortment development.
  • Prepare investment review financial recaps to inform business decisions.
  • Forecast and manage markdowns and promotions to drive sales and minimize losses.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a planning or allocation analysis role.
  • Experience in buying or store management is a plus.
  • Expert command of retail math concepts and applications.
  • Strong statistical analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Technical proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
