Merchandise Planner Role Summary

Anthropologie is seeking a skilled Merchandise Planner to drive sales growth by developing and executing comprehensive merchandise plans that align with company goals for sales, turn, and margin.

Key Responsibilities:
  • OTB Management: Analyze and manage on-hand inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Sales/Markdowns/Receipts/IMU/Gross Margin Forecasting: Utilize TXT Planning to forecast sales trends and make informed decisions on markdowns, receipts, and inventory management.
  • Attribute Planning: Summarize and analyze weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance at the class and attribute levels, identifying areas for improvement and proposing action plans.
  • Style Count Productivity Analysis: Establish and maintain style count plans by channel and store cluster to optimize inventory levels and reduce waste.
  • Support Buying and Production Teams: Provide data-driven insights and system support to buying and production teams to inform purchasing decisions and optimize production.
  • Seasonal Hindsight Analysis: Analyze past sales data to inform future buy plans and optimize inventory levels.
  • Investment Review Financial Recaps: Provide detailed financial recaps to support investment decisions and optimize return on investment.
  • Markdown & Promo Forecasting, Management, and Execution: Develop and execute markdown and promo plans to drive sales growth and optimize inventory levels.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in a Planning or Allocation Analysis role.
  • Some experience in buying or store management is a plus.
  • Expert command of retail math concepts and applications.
  • Strong statistical analysis skills.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Technical skill proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
