Position Overview

The Seminole County Juvenile Drug Court serves as a diversion initiative aimed at assisting youth involved with the Juvenile Justice System. This program offers a pathway to redirect young individuals away from formal judicial proceedings. In this capacity, the Case Manager will collaborate closely with the State Attorney and Circuit 18 Courts to deliver comprehensive support throughout the substance use treatment programs facilitated by IMPOWER.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial assessments for potential participants referred by the State Attorney's Office.
  • Attend court sessions as mandated by the program, maintaining close communication with judges and legal representatives.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of program specifics and requirements to effectively provide information to court personnel, enhancing referral opportunities.
  • Input necessary data into the State Drug Court Case Management System, ensuring compliance with the Office of State Courts Administrator (OSCA).
  • Engage with court officials regarding Drug Court participants, adhering to established timelines for case openings, compliance updates, and discharges.
  • Complete and submit clinical and supplementary documentation in all IMPOWER and mandated external systems within 48 hours of service delivery.
  • Maintain the Urinalysis Log for random screenings conducted multiple times each week.
  • Adhere to credentialing standards as outlined by IMPOWER, funding bodies, and the Council on Accreditation, including submitting required documentation and applications.
  • Comply with HIPAA regulations and IMPOWER Policies & Procedures concerning client confidentiality.
  • Follow state-mandated procedures for reporting abuse and neglect, as well as IMPOWER Policies & Procedures regarding vulnerable populations.
  • File Incident Reports for significant events as specified in IMPOWER Policies & Procedures.
  • Maintain a mobile phone with a confidential voicemail, checked daily, clearly stating your name and agency name.
  • Conduct random curfew checks for program participants as directed by the Director.
  • Check IMPOWER email at least once daily and respond to communications within 24 hours.
  • Complete required training within specified timeframes as determined by the Director or Human Resources.
  • Uphold the ethics, policies, procedures, and professional standards of IMPOWER.
  • Accurately complete daily timesheets in Paylocity as per IMPOWER Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a human services-related discipline.
  • A minimum of two years of experience working with at-risk youth and their families.
  • Experience in a court environment is preferred.
  • Successful completion of Level II Background Screening and a negative drug test.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and a clean driving record.
