Job Description

As Director of Compliance for Pharmacy, you will play a vital role in ensuring our internal practices and programs meet all legal and regulatory requirements. Your primary responsibility will be to measure organizational compliance accurately through internal audits and investigations. Based on your findings, you will recommend effective strategies to implement the highest quality industry standards in our practices.

You will also create and manage a robust framework to address regulatory breaches and act as a compliance advisor to employees, establishing secure communication channels for reporting compliance issues and violations. By leading employee training programs, you will foster a culture of integrity, ensuring all staff are aware of proper conduct and compliance procedures. Additionally, you will ensure data integrity and identify risk areas that could compromise Medix Infusion's compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead employee training on compliance and ethical conduct.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patients' medical records and personal information.
  • Investigate compliance concerns and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct audits to identify risks and ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and develop operational strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, guardians, and stakeholders.
  • Lead and evaluate direct reports, ensuring accountability and performance.
  • Document, investigate, and address medical and medication-related incidents.
  • Develop and monitor quality improvement plans and protocols.
  • Facilitate annual re-certification and health information processes.
  • Train staff in electronic record systems and project management tools.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in healthcare, nursing, business, or a relevant field. A minimum of 6 years of experience in a healthcare compliance role is required, with CHCP certification preferred. You should have comprehensive knowledge of accreditation and certification bodies (ACHC, URAC, JCAHO) and extensive knowledge of HIPAA, federal, state, and local healthcare regulations.

Why Choose Us?
