Job Summary

Firetree, Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Monitor to join our team. As a Program Monitor, you will be responsible for providing daily guidance, supervision, and accountability of program residents, as well as ensuring the security of the facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guide and supervise resident movements inside and outside of the facility, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Assist residents with indoor and outdoor leisure activities, including smoking breaks, to promote a healthy and engaging environment.
  • Assist in intake and orientation, including completion of forms, reviewing client rules and consent forms, and logging personal items, to ensure a smooth transition for new residents.
  • Conduct regular room checks to ensure resident accountability and maintain a clean living environment.
  • Monitor resident behavior and log any issues in the communication log, maintaining accurate records and reporting any incidents as necessary.
  • Complete inter-facility reports on any unusual incidents or occurrences with residents, as required.
  • Submit reports as directed by supervisory staff and/or program policy and procedures, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  • Attend mandatory in-service training and outsourced training as required, to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
  • Assist residents in self-medication in the absence of medical staff, ensuring their health and well-being.
  • Transport residents to and from appointments or destinations, as needed, to provide convenient and reliable transportation.
  • Sign residents in and out of the facility, maintaining accurate records and ensuring secure entry and exit procedures.
  • Complete resident searches, including pat-downs, bag searches, auto searches, room searches, locker searches, and monitoring of metal detectors, to maintain a secure environment.
  • Maintain accurate logs, including Shift Log, Work Release Log, and Visitor's Log, to track resident activity and facility operations.
  • Perform inventory counts of resident personal belongings and storage and cleaning chemicals, to ensure accurate tracking and maintenance of facility supplies.
  • Supervise residents in the performance of assigned duties, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Administer breathalyzer and drug screening tests as needed or required, to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Assist in the food handling and preparation process, as required, and hand out bag lunches as necessary, to provide convenient and healthy meal options.
  • Answer and respond to phone calls from referral sources, providing accurate and timely information to support facility operations.
  • Answer and screen the front entry door, maintaining secure entry procedures and ensuring the safety of residents and staff.
  • Check and review EVS (Environmental Services) as required, to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
  • May run group sessions and community meetings, recording notes and maintaining accurate records.
  • Effectively use Enterprise Manager (EM), to track resident activity and facility operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, to support facility operations and ensure the success of the Firetree, Ltd. mission.
Requirements

To perform this job successfully, the employee should have a high school diploma or GED and demonstrated experience dealing effectively with people. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

The employee should also have strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook) and the ability to learn other computer software programs as required by assigned tasks.

The physical demands of this job include frequent sitting, standing, operating computers and other office equipment, moving about the office, and attending onsite and offsite meetings. The employee must be able to communicate via email and verbally via telephone and occasionally transport up to 25 pounds.

Program Monitors will be scheduled on a rotating basis to provide 24/7 coverage, as such the employee must be capable of adjusting to any and all shifts assigned.
