Job Summary:

The Clinical Shift Supervisor will be responsible for supervising counseling staff in the provision of direct patient care and support services. This role will promote the safety, wellness, and well-being of patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate between counseling, nursing, and medical staff.
  • Clinical programming for weekend shifts.
  • Work with detox patients and symptomatic co-occurring patients.
  • Oversee treatment plans and continuing care plans.
  • Develop and implement new clinical programs according to patient needs.
  • Administer all policies according to state and accreditation regulations.
  • Act as a member of the treatment team, facilitating group therapy, individual therapy, lectures, and workshops.
  • Create liaison with community resources and provide community education and outreach programs.
  • Intervene in the therapeutic process with patients who need special attention.
  • Attend and participate in all required meetings.
  • Maintain all required documentation.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

The Clinical Shift Supervisor will manage the clinical aides for the evening shift.

Qualifications:

An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This position requires individuals who are client-focused, team-oriented, have great interpersonal and communication skills, and are flexible to sudden changes in workload, emergency, or staffing.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's Degree (required) or Master's degree preferred from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in the human services) or other related field which and two years of clinical experience in a health or human service agency which includes one year of working directly with the chemically dependent.

Technical/Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Proficient. Knowledge of addiction and basic management principles.
