Clinical Supervisor

Job Summary
CVS Health is seeking a skilled Clinical Supervisor to oversee and direct the development and evaluation of the Clinical Support staff for the nursing and pharmacy services. This role is responsible for monitoring and ensuring the Clinical Support staff completes their assignments within the pharmacy team to meet internal and external customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply appropriate ethical, legal, confidentiality, and advocacy principles to the planning and delivery of patient care.
- Implement and evaluate new and existing processes, developing and recommending changes as necessary to ensure effective and efficient communication among team members.
- Execute plans of action to achieve clinical department goals, monitoring team activities that support the pharmacy team process.
- Manage clinical support functions in nursing and pharmacy, excluding warehouse operations. Manage interactions of clinical support specialists by observing and obtaining feedback from patients and other team members, functioning as a clinical support specialist in accordance with all state regulations in the absence of staff.
- Manage admissions huddles and morning meetings, retrieving on-call messages each morning and reviewing on-call printout in daily morning meetings.
- Document all communications in the patient clinical chart and obtain co-signatures from a nurse or pharmacist that relate to patient care.
- Resolve issues in collaboration with management on deferred start of care assignments.
- Support the territory management plan and push team to utilize the territory management plan in collaboration with staff.
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve patient complaints, communicating timely issues that require a nurse or pharmacist.
- Communicate regularly with all departments and managers to ensure knowledge and understanding of new regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager on financial reports (MIR, M&E) to ensure accuracy, research variances, and develop appropriate action plans when indicated to reach budget goals.
- Responsible for hiring, coaching, conducting performance evaluations, and disciplining staff as needed.
- Comply with the Company's policy on the allowable clean room garb and dress code requirements.
Requirements
High School Diploma or General Equivalent Development (GED) or Associates Degree. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor Degree, leadership experience, national tech certification, and education.
