Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavior Outreach Specialist to join our team at Buncombe County Public Schools. As a key member of our Special Services Department, you will be responsible for providing behavioral support to students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement behavioral support plans for students with challenging behaviors.
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive approach to student support.
  • Provide training and coaching to staff on behavioral support strategies and techniques.
  • Conduct observations and assessments to identify areas of need and develop targeted interventions.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g., Special Education, Psychology, Social Work).
  • Experience working with students with challenging behaviors.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
