Job Summary

Raba Kistner Inc. is seeking a skilled Construction Materials Technician to join our team in Corpus Christi, TX. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting field or laboratory testing, sampling, and/or inspection services to ensure the quality and safety of construction materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and supervisors to ensure priorities and deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with project leads, engineers, and architects to discuss and coordinate testing, sampling, or inspection of construction materials or procedures.
  • Ensure safe utilization, storage, and maintenance of nuclear gauges and field equipment, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting of project progress and delays to supervisors and dispatchers.
  • Submit comprehensive testing and inspection reports on a daily basis.
  • Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to job sites.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent, or relevant industry certification (e.g., ACI Field, ACI Concrete Strength, TxDOT SB101, SB102, SB103, SB201, SB202, 1A, or 1B).
  • Possess a valid driver's license and meet the firm's auto insurance requirements.
  • Ability to obtain industry certifications as designated by supervisors within six months of employment.
  • Completion of Troxler Manufacturing or equal radiation safety course, Technician Training and Certification Program (TTCP) from the Texas State Highway and Transportation Department, or ability to complete within six months of employment.
Work Environment

This position requires frequent travel to project sites, often in rough and uneven terrain, and occasional exposure to inclement weather conditions. The employee must be able to lift and move up to 70 pounds and possess good oral and written communication skills.

The following physical activities are representative of those required to perform the essential functions of this job: sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, standing, walking, climbing, balancing, talking, and using hands and reaching.
