Job Title: Tier 2 Desktop Support Engineer

Tantus Technologies Inc, a Top Workplace recognized by the Washington Post, is seeking a skilled Tier 2 Desktop Support Engineer to provide Windows desktop system administration, support, and services for PCoIP remote workstations in a secure, controlled environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide desktop support in a Windows systems support environment, responding to incoming calls, tickets, and emails.
  • Offer client system training and perform desk-side training as needed.
  • Resolve hardware and software problems, referring other issues to the appropriate organizations.
  • Track the status of all problems within the environment through resolution.
  • Document special procedures required for continuous operations of systems.
  • Review monitoring logs for problem identification and suggested resolutions.
  • Install and configure new hardware components for operations in a classified network environment.
  • Interface with customers to support their operational environment.
  • Schedule maintenance and services activities.
  • Plan, conduct, and report tests with government staff.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation as requested by the Client Service team lead.
Requirements:
  • Top Secret (TS) security clearance required; active 'Q' clearance preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience providing IT support to users at multiple locations.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Windows 10 administration in domain-connected environments, Microsoft software support, and administration.
  • At least 1 year of experience with Office 365 cloud Exchange administration, PowerShell, Group Policy, and helpdesk ticketing systems.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a Windows server environment or as a computer professional maintaining, configuring, installing, and supporting Windows workstations and resources.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with VMware ESXi virtual servers on UCS and/or HPE Blade hardware.
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts.
Abilities:
  • Ability to work cooperatively and function well in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer interface skills.
