Surety Account Manager Job Description

The primary objective of a Surety Account Manager is to provide support to the production team in the management and service of new and existing accounts. This role involves assisting in the production and service of surety bonds, ensuring timely and accurate processing of bond requests, and maintaining effective relationships with clients and companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support surety bond producers, account executives, and senior account managers in day-to-day operations and client interactions.
  • Maintain proper communication and build effective relationships with clients and companies.
  • Assist in gathering and organizing client information for bond requests.
  • Assist with billing on renewals and handle receivables.
  • Learn to evaluate financial statements to assess client creditworthiness.
  • Aid in the preparation of documentation for the underwriting process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of bond requests.
  • Provide administrative support, including maintaining client records and managing correspondence.
  • Assist in monitoring bond portfolios and preparing status reports.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, guidelines, and market trends.
  • Have an understanding of surety bond products and services.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance knowledge and skills in surety bond management.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of previous surety bond experience.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, some insurance courses preferred.
  • Proficient in various programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills in prioritizing work, multi-tasking, and consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Results-oriented with a strong client service orientation and proactive in solving client needs with a sense of urgency in all client matters.
  • Ability to work proficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
