Job Summary

Stanford Health Care is seeking a skilled Patient Access Representative II to join our team. As a key member of our Patient Access Services department, you will be responsible for completing patient admissions/registration functions, identifying insurance coverage, and handling customer service inquiries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assure secure handling and accurate recording of payments collected at the point-of-service delivery.
  • Apply customer service and healthcare coverage experience to assist a broad range of clients, patients, and families with admitting/registration activities.
  • Escalate complex patient admitting/registration and service escalations to more experienced team members.
  • Participate in projects of moderate scope and maintain professional communication with various staff, physicians, and patients.
  • Meet weekly individual productivity and key performance indicators while following planned priorities.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all individuals with whom you have contact.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Two years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
  • Bilingual preferred (English and Spanish).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Epic, insurance websites, POS payment systems, and web-based screening tools.
  • Knowledgeable of medical terminology, eligibility, and enrollment requirements for Medicare, Medi-Cal, Workers' Comp, Managed Care, and Children's Health Programs.

Stanford Health Care offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including a base pay scale of $35.14 per hour. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
