University of Minnesota Physicians is a non-profit organization seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our inpatient child and adolescent Hospitalist service at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital.

This position offers a collaborative multidisciplinary team environment with Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists, PMHNPs, Psychiatric RNs, Pediatric Medicine Hospitalists, Program Directors, Psychiatric Associates, Chemical Dependency Counselors, and Recreational Therapists.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children aged 5-18 and be able to work on any of our four child/adolescent inpatient units.

Our inpatient encounters average 8-12 patients per day, and the potential to work additional casual shifts on the Adult Inpatient Psychiatry Service and Emergency Psychiatry shifts is available for interested candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Practice at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital in Minneapolis, MN.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Work on any of our four child/adolescent inpatient units.
  • Provide care to children aged 5-18.
  • Participate in inpatient encounters with an average of 8-12 patients per day.
  • Potential to work additional casual shifts on the Adult Inpatient Psychiatry Service and Emergency Psychiatry shifts.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited ACGME psychiatry residency and child and adolescent fellowship training program.
  • Board Certified/Board Prepared with the American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association.
  • Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure.
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.
  • Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.
