Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Office Assistant to join our team at ANTHEM HILLS MEDICAL CENTER. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate between patients and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage telephone messages and electronic communications in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide clear and concise explanations of treatment and results to patients as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Assist with adult and pediatric care, including escorting patients to exam rooms and performing vital signs.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and respond to callbacks in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Prepare and send medications and referrals as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Administer injections and immunizations as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Perform routine procedures such as EKGs, urine tests, flu/strep tests, and other tasks as directed.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a Medical Assisting program.
  • Strong knowledge of common medications and medical terminology.
  • Excellent patient care and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Eclinicalworks or EHR experience a plus.
