Your Role and Responsibilities:
  • Contribute significantly to the formulation of departmental strategic objectives and identify measurable indicators to support these goals.
  • Oversee performance evaluations and provide leadership to all direct reports, including mentoring, coaching, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to product and process standards in line with customer expectations and IATF 16949 regulations.
  • Act as the primary contact for both internal and external stakeholders, facilitating effective communication through the Customer Liaison.
  • Lead the design, execution, and assessment of quality engineering initiatives.
  • Develop new designs, technical drawings, project plans, specifications, and related documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to manage the Product Part Approval Process (PPAP) for new projects, program transitions, engineering modifications, and process enhancements.
  • Analyze Statistical Process Control (SPC) data to drive process improvements and corrective measures.
  • Maintain and report on company performance metrics, preparing visual summaries as required.
  • Supervise associates engaged in product measurement and testing, compiling data related to materials, product quality, and reliability.
  • Provide training and support to Quality Technicians and manufacturing staff.
  • Support the development and maintenance of all quality systems in compliance with IATF 16949 standards.
  • Generate quality alerts and communicate them effectively to the production team.
This full-time position is integral to our team and reports directly to the Quality Manager.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience in industrial design. S.Q.C. certification as a quality engineer is preferred; a Master's Degree is a plus.
  • A minimum of six (6) years of experience in quality engineering or supplier development.
  • Familiarity with standard quality methodologies, including FMEA, SPC, and DOE.
  • Understanding of resistance and MIG welding techniques.
  • Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Solid knowledge of PPAP processes.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to mentor and instruct the team in effective problem-solving strategies.
  • Acquainted with lean manufacturing principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Computer literate with experience in customer-specific software and SPC tools.
