Position Overview: The Vice President of Portfolio Management will focus exclusively on overseeing the portfolio and will report directly to the EIG LatAm Portfolio Manager. The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring effective portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor assigned portfolio files and manage periodic reporting, including Annual Credit Reviews and Quarterly Substandard Reports (SAR).
  • Assist the Portfolio Manager with tasks related to portfolio management, including tracking the progress of annual credit reviews and processing amendments and waivers.
  • Ensure the quality control of annual credit reviews and other reports generated by team members.
  • Maintain oversight of the production of Annual Credit Reviews to minimize overdue reports.
  • Supervise the preparation of materials for portfolio reviews and audits.
  • Provide periodic updates to the Paris Head Office regarding Environmental & Social and Climate Change matters, as well as compliance with Equateur Principles.
  • Train junior staff on Annual Credit Reviews and oversee their contributions.
  • Engage with various internal teams, including Risk, Hedge Desk, Syndication & Distribution, and Legal, to fulfill responsibilities.
  • Ensure the accuracy of EIG LatAm's data within the systems and address any discrepancies in collaboration with other departments.
  • Handle complex files in coordination with the Distressed Assets group.
  • Communicate with deal Administrative Agents and independent consultants as necessary.
  • Support ad hoc tasks such as country and sector strategies, risk monitoring, and revenue tracking.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in project finance or senior secured asset-based financing.
  • Proficiency in English, with some knowledge of Spanish and ideally French.
  • Demonstrated proactive approach and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and mentor junior staff.
  • Strong background in financial and credit analysis, as well as legal documentation.
  • Collaborative mindset with good interpersonal skills.
  • Capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and resource management capabilities.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field; MBA is a plus.

Experience:

  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience preferred.
