At ASSA ABLOY, we're shaping the future of connectivity and access solutions. As a Mechanical Engineer III, you'll play a key role in our Electro-Mechanical Access Control Engineering team, driving innovation and creativity in product development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead product design and implementation through CAD design, team reviews, prototyping, testing, and validation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to combine mechanical design with electronics, wiring, testing, and industry compliance
  • Generate, initiate, and complete new product, product improvement, and cost reduction ideas based on market needs
  • Validate designs through theorems, tolerance stacks, and software such as FEA, as well as practical testing based on industry standards
  • Guide junior engineers through product development projects, reviewing technical documentation and implementing best practices
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD
  • Expertise in understanding mechanical systems, fits, clearances, and tolerances
  • Ability to clearly communicate through various media, including hand sketches, modeling, technical drawing, and project summaries
