Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at O'Connor Construction Management (OCMI, Inc.). As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a critical role in providing engineering oversight and support on our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering reviews
  • Ensure the Basis of Design is complete and comprehensive
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure system selection and designs meet standards and operational goals
  • Participate in the selection of engineering firms for projects
  • Provide feedback at each design checkpoint and for relevant submissions
  • Perform commissioning and project turnover support tasks as required
  • Compile lessons learned to inform development of design standards and operational protocols
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience as a design mechanical engineer
  • Experience with laboratory design or equivalent technical complexity
  • Certified Engineer-in-Training (EIT), LEED AP accredited professional, or Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Capacity to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Ability to successfully pass a thorough criminal background check
