Position Overview:
The Clinical Risk Management Nurse plays a pivotal role in overseeing the risk management initiatives within the organization. This includes the systematic identification, evaluation, and mitigation of risks associated with patient care and operational processes.
Key Responsibilities:
The individual in this position will:
- Coordinate all elements of the risk management program.
- Conduct medical record audits and perform data abstraction related to patient outcomes.
- Engage in the Performance Improvement (PI) team activities and contribute to the development and completion of essential reports.
- Collaborate with the Director of Quality and Safety to implement the System-wide Quality and Safety Plan in alignment with established regulatory standards.
- Develop and manage processes to identify and address potential risks to the organization.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid RN license in the State of Arizona.
- An Associate's degree in nursing is required.
- A degree in Business, Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in hospital risk management, focusing on patient safety and quality improvement is essential.
Certifications:
- ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
- Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of relevant experience, along with certification as a Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM).
