Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated General Education Teacher to join our team at Soliant. This is a contracted hourly role based in the Woodbridge, Virginia area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and curriculum expectations.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student growth and development.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Assess student progress regularly and use data to inform instructional decisions and interventions.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and stakeholders to support student learning and well-being.
  • Communicate proactively with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and academic goals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Valid teaching certification in the state of Virginia.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction and provide support for diverse learners.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional growth and reflective practice.
Contract Details
  • Duration: 2024-2025 school year
  • Hours: To be determined based on school schedule and needs
  • Compensation: Hourly rate commensurate with experience
