About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Production Technician to join our Water Infrastructure Design Center team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing, annotating, and detailing 3D models for our Water Business Line projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Annotate and detail existing 3D models under the oversight of the Production Designer
  • Create plans, profiles, sections, and details in project-specific software
  • Collaborate with designers and technicians to produce drawings on various Water Business Line projects
  • Arrange necessary resources for file sharing and communication to effectively share design files across the company or with clients, subconsultants, and contractors
  • Maintain strong communication with design team members to ensure timely delivery of projects and avoid potential project conflicts
  • Coordinate survey services and process field data
  • Create and organize project setup drawings, base files, general sheets, title blocks, and Plex-Earth
  • Organize drawing structures and files
  • Ensure quality program compliance, including QA/QC to ensure all projects adhere to company CAD/BIM/MicroStation standards

The Water Infrastructure Design Center is a knowledge-based hub that excels in highly technical, multi-discipline water and wastewater designs for locations across Garver's footprint. Our team brings together every unique discipline necessary to design custom solutions for water and wastewater infrastructure facilities, including civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, controls, construction, applications, and operations.

Requirements
  • Computer-aided drafting and design software training and/or experience with Civil3D, Revit, and/or MicroStation
  • Experience using MSOffice products, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with site development, including grading, paving, drainage, and piping
  • Experience with water/wastewater, architectural, industrial, or commercial designs
  • General understanding of various building types
  • Experience with multi-discipline CAD designs, including piping, structural, electrical, I&C, controls, mechanical, HVAC, and process
  • Experience with MS Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience using ArcMap
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Associate's degree or higher with a focus on Civil3D, Revit, or MicroStation
