About Us:
Hord Family Farms, recognized for excellence in pig production, is seeking a Technical Support Associate to enhance our operations. Please note that applicants should not have contact with pigs outside of those in our herds.

Daily Responsibilities:
This essential entry-level role typically operates from 7:30 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of evening, weekend, and holiday hours for special projects or urgent matters. The Technical Support Associate will be tasked with diagnosing and resolving IT-related productivity challenges; engaging with team members and vendors in a constructive and supportive manner to maintain or restore peak productivity; adhering to established workflows, phone logging, ticketing systems, and other protocols; educating colleagues on safe IT practices; and assisting with the repair, maintenance, and setup of equipment.

The ideal candidate will be adept at navigating both farm and office environments and will possess the ability to climb towers to support network equipment. Consistent demonstration of work ownership, follow-through, initiative, and effective communication is essential.

Qualifications:

  • An Associate's Degree in Information Technology or a related field, or a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in service remediation and user support for hardware and software issues.
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems, navigation tools, and common hardware/software concepts.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving basic technical issues.
  • Understanding of Ethernet networking technologies, including TCP/IP, switching, and routing.
  • Strong listening, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer service aptitude with a focus on sensitivity and responsiveness to team member needs.
  • Ability to convey technical information in clear, understandable terms for diverse audiences.
  • Attention to detail and meticulous record-keeping capabilities.
  • Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
  • A proven track record of reliability and dependability.
