Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Administrative Coordinator to join our team at the University of Rochester. As an Administrative Coordinator, you will serve as the primary point of contact for Senior University Executives, Deans, and Directors, providing administrative support and coordination services.

Responsibilities:

">
  • Manage the time and calendar of Senior University Executives, Deans, and Directors, prioritizing tasks and making recommendations on how to allocate their time.
  • Represent the executive in contacts with University officers, faculty, leaders of student groups, alumni, trustees, the press, government officials, relaying instructions, preferences, and concerns.
  • Anticipate needs and obtain background material for decisions and conferences, compiling and editing reports, correspondence, publications, and speeches.
  • Coordinate clerical and other support services, supervising 2 or more assistants.
  • Under general direction, manage clerical records and other support services in a central office, representing the college or department in requisitioning and arranging for administrative and other services.
  • Schedule use of facilities, see to maintenance and equipment, preservation of order, and compliance with safety and other University regulations.
  • Direct the preparation of departmental financial and workload statements and accounts, estimating and controlling expenditures for supplies and auxiliary services.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and training, along with 1 year of relevant administrative experience. A strong understanding of administrative practices, policies, and procedures is essential.

Salary Range:

">

$55,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience.
