Position Summary: The Breast Sonography Specialist will conduct a variety of ultrasound examinations, including breast, small parts, vascular, and obstetrical assessments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all procedures.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive ultrasound examinations, including but not limited to breast, small parts, vascular, and OBGYN.
  • Integrate clinical history with the ultrasound tests being conducted.
  • Prepare examination rooms and ultrasound equipment for optimal functionality.
  • Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and vascular procedures as necessary.
  • Identify and document relevant anatomy and pathology using sonographic technology.
  • Maintain and care for ultrasound equipment, reporting any malfunctions promptly.
  • Generate detailed reports based on ultrasound findings.
  • Notify medical personnel of any abnormalities requiring immediate attention.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills and make informed decisions independently.
  • Work collaboratively within a team while also managing tasks autonomously.
  • Handle multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic work environment.
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic and maintain a positive, professional demeanor.
  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance patient care quality.
  • May undertake additional responsibilities and special projects as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in breast ultrasound is essential.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in general ultrasound, including breast, small parts, vascular, and obstetrical exams.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Sonographer.
  • Accreditation by ARDMS or ARRT(S) is mandatory.
