Project Manager - Mechanical
Role Summary:
The Project Manager will oversee the bidding process for contract work, develop project timelines, coordinate the provision of tools and materials, and manage the personnel assigned to each project. This role also involves tracking labor efficiency and representing the company in job progress meetings while facilitating change orders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define project requirements with precision.
- Coordinate the delivery of necessary tools and materials.
- Manage project personnel and monitor their labor efficiency.
- Participate in job progress meetings and initiate change orders as needed.
- Estimate remaining costs for monthly work-in-progress reporting.
- Ensure that projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Collaborate with clients to develop tailored solutions to their challenges.
- Adhere to established guidelines to enhance project efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding project needs.
- Analyze job cost reports and take appropriate actions.
- Respond promptly to inquiries from senior management.
- Assist with collections as necessary.
- Utilize estimating software to produce timely and accurate estimates and change orders.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in the plumbing or mechanical sector, including roles in sales, estimating, project management, and design.
- Familiarity with AutoDesk and ProCore is advantageous.
- A degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) is essential.
