Job Title: Ophthalmic Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Assistant to join our team at Retina Consultants of Carolina. As an Ophthalmic Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preliminary testing and document patient information
  • Oversee patient flow and prepare patients for procedures
  • Scribe for physicians and assist with medical procedures
  • Develop strong relationships with patients, physicians, and co-workers
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience in the medical field
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Visual acuity testing
  • Pupillometry screening
  • Tonometry testing and reading
  • Ocular motility examinations
  • Working knowledge of ocular photography techniques
