Electronics Specialist

ManTech is seeking a highly skilled Electronics SME to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA. As an Electronics SME, you will play a critical role in supporting US Navy field teams by performing installs, maintenance, repairs, overhauls, troubleshooting, and tests of electrical, electronic, and/or mechanical equipment and related devices.
Key Responsibilities:- Troubleshoot field equipment failures, document maintenance and troubleshooting procedures, and perform preventative maintenance of electronic equipment.
- Inspect inventory and reorder materials and technical components.
- Analyze operations and offer suggestions for improvement.
- Perform research, writing, editing, and revising of Navy technical documents.
- Perform field validations of various watercraft and equipment.
- Perform work between customer sites, shore sites, and/or on ships.
- An Associate's degree in Electronic Technology or related field with a minimum of four (4) years of experience providing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting and/or assessment of electronic equipment or 6 years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Experience with AC/DC circuits.
- Experience with HF/VHF/UHF installation/troubleshooting.
- Experience with RF Connectors.
- Must have a US Passport.
- Ability to travel CONUS/OCONUS as needed up to 50%.
- Experience with JIRA/Confluence is preferred.
- A NAVSEA Certification in Fiber Optic Termination.
- Tower Climber Certification.
- Education/Training in Electronics to include installation tasks, soldering, cable dressing, cable tray, conduit, and building/repairing connectors.
- Must be US Citizen and hold an active Secret Security Clearance.
- Required to get a CAC badge as well as Base Security Access approval.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
- Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- May be asked to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment.
