Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Athletic Trainer to join our team at Magellan Health. As an Onsite Certified Athletic Trainer, you will be responsible for providing top-notch athletic training services to Marine Corps personnel, focusing on performance enhancement, injury prevention, and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement evidence-based strength and conditioning programs to optimize performance and mitigate injuries.
  • Provide on-site athletic training services, including evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries.
  • Collaborate with Marine Corps personnel, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective physical readiness programs.
  • Conduct regular meetings to stay informed about unit training schedules and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Provide coaching and guidance on applied anatomy, exercise physiology, kinesiology, and biomechanics to service members.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in athletic training and share knowledge with the team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Current certification in American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification (BOC) certification.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer, with at least 12 months of experience within the preceding 36 months working with collegiate athletes, professional/Olympic athletes, or military personnel.
  • US citizenship and proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
  • Ability to lift and manipulate loads or weights up to 20 kilograms/45 Lbs and participate in various physical training activities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Athletic Training or a related field.
  • Experience working with aquatic therapeutic devices and instruction in therapeutic, corrective, and rehabilitative exercises.
  • Valid government Secret security clearance.
