Job Description

Job Summary:

The Estimating Coordinator will provide administrative support to the estimating personnel in the LFP Lighting Division. This role reports to the Vice President/GM of the Division.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the estimating staff, including handling correspondence, organizing bid documents, and updating the quote system.
  • Correspondence Management: Handle all incoming correspondence between estimators, sales, and prospective customers.
  • Bid Document Management: Organize and upload bid documents per department requirements.
  • Take-off Requests: Send take-off requests to India and coordinate responses with the estimators.
  • Quote System Updates: Update the quote system with data per bid and direction from sales and estimators.
  • Delays and Follow-ups: Identify and follow up on delays on requests that might delay bid requirements.
  • Vendor and Service Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and services (internal/external).
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, including all other office administrative functions as directed by management.

Requirements:
  • Administrative Experience: 2+ years of administrative/office experience required.
  • Customer Service: Outstanding customer service/support skills.
  • Problem Resolution: Solid problem resolution abilities.
  • Professional Demeanor: Professional demeanor.
  • Microsoft Office: Microsoft Office skills (Excel heavy).
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and cooperative skills.
  • Communication Skills: Solid written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Time Management: Strong time management, planning, and organizational skills.
  • ERP Experience: ERP experience helpful (P21).
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well both independently and in team settings.
  • Education: High School diploma or GED.

Physical Requirements:
  • Visual Acuity: Visual acuity required to read computer screens, written documents, inspect materials, products, etc.
  • Communication: Ability to speak and hear on the phone.
  • Physical Abilities: Must be able to work sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and in squatting position.
  • Manual Dexterity: Manual dexterity required for computer work, to handle materials, supplies, etc.
  • Lifting: Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
