The Quality Assurance Coordinator is tasked with formulating and implementing policies and procedures aimed at assessing and enhancing the quality of products, materials, components, and manufacturing processes. This role involves making recommendations to ensure production aligns with quality standards and that staff adhere to established protocols. The position also entails developing a long-term quality strategy and Quality Management System (QMS), while fostering quality achievement and performance enhancement throughout the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborates with management to effectively execute the corporate Quality Management System.
  • Plans, promotes, and organizes initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality and reliability of products and internal operations. Leads teams in the quality process approach, successful problem resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversees the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and systems that support optimal quality assurance and control practices.
  • Creates, implements, and maintains quality performance dashboards and other performance reports. Works alongside managers to establish quality performance standards.
  • Investigates and resolves customer, supplier, and internal quality-related complaints.
  • Leads all communications and training related to quality for employees.
  • Facilitates the Quality Management Review process.
  • Conducts internal audits to verify the effectiveness of the QMS. Trains other employees as internal auditors to ensure the ongoing success of the QMS program.
  • Reviews and updates existing work instruction manuals and develops new instructions as necessary.
  • Conducts regular assessments to ensure ISO Certification for all domestic locations is effectively influencing mindsets and culture to achieve our Quality and Key Performance Indicators goals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Control, or Quality Assurance. Equivalent combinations of education and/or experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing setting, with a blend of QMS, Project Management, and/or quality control preferred.
  • Experience in corrective and preventive action, along with the development and management of procedures and work instructions that document and support operational requirements.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and government regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience in a cross-functional environment with a proven ability to influence and build consensus among multiple functions.
  • Strong problem identification, analysis, and creative resolution skills.
  • Proven skills in process development and project management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of administering and maintaining ISO9001:2015 standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position involves minimal risk of injury. Standard work hours are generally 40 hours per week during regular business hours, with potential additional hours as needed. Some business travel may be required, up to 25%. Consistent and regular attendance is expected.
