We are seeking a talented Structural Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our dynamic Bridges Team. As a key member of our transportation team, you will work on a wide variety of innovative and diverse projects, expanding our bridge engineering capabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the design of bridges, walls, culverts, and sign structures, incorporating California DOT practices and AASHTO LRFD standards.
- Conduct engineering investigations, feasibility studies, cost, and risk analysis.
- Assess and identify bridge load ratings.
- Use advanced structural analysis/design software and 3D models.
- Assist with the completion of bridge construction plans and specifications.
- Prepare structural computations, material quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates, and help check the work of others.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in structural design. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 0-2 years of professional experience in the design of bridges and structures. Previous internship experience in bridge design, analysis, or inspection a plus.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) or Engineering Intern (EI) designation preferred or ability to obtain within six (6) months from date of hire.
