Paramount Pictures is in search of an innovative and committed Camera Technician who possesses exceptional multitasking and narrative skills. The primary responsibility of this role involves collaborating with News Reporters and Producers to create high-quality, engaging, and artistic visual content.
This video photographer will need to travel light and operate swiftly, with the ideal candidate being adaptable enough to seize fleeting moments.
We are looking for someone skilled in shooting, lighting, and editing who can vividly bring stories to life.Excellent interpersonal skills, a robust work ethic, and a positive attitude are essential. A deep passion for storytelling is a must. The camera technician will also be expected to respond to urgent news situations as required.
This position requires the ability to contribute to original reporting and enterprise stories while working effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in directing lighting, establishing the overall visual aesthetic, and managing related technical specifications for projects, whether working independently or as part of a team.
Collaborate closely with Talent and Producers by providing logistical support and shot requirements.
Operate ENG vehicles.
Maintain all equipment, including crew vehicles, and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure all gear is up-to-date and functional.
Quickly and effectively troubleshoot in various situations.Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years' experience as an ENG photographer in a significant market.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to listen and offer constructive feedback.
Comprehensive knowledge of current and emerging newsgathering technologies.
Must be self-driven, proactive, collaborative, and possess a high degree of creativity to narrate stories through sound and visuals.
Experience in logistics, special event planning, and execution.
Requirements:
Must hold a valid US driver's license with unrestricted driving capability. A valid US passport and the ability to travel domestically and internationally without restrictions are required. Capability to lift over 50 lbs. of newsgathering equipment.
Availability to work weekends, extended hours, or varying shifts as necessary to meet production and broadcast deadlines in all weather conditions.
Travel for production may involve challenging environments (training provided). Proficiency with streaming technologies such as Dejero and LiveU.Willingness to travel for assignments that may last several days or weeks, including international travel.
