Commercial Account Manager

Insituform Technologies, LLC is a leading provider of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) and other technologies and services for the rehabilitation of pipeline systems.
The Commercial Account Manager is responsible for generating new orders by selling corporate products and services. This role will work closely with operations to develop ongoing, profitable relationships with customers and maintain a professional image of Insituform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute sales strategies and tactics to meet or exceed annual sales plans and quotas.
- Generate and qualify leads for subsequent development.
- Perform account planning to identify, develop, and close business opportunities in support of business plan and strategic objectives.
- Ensure all sales activity and opportunities are up to date in the in-house Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the products and services offered by Insituform.
- Prepare proposals and recommend contract prices.
- Execute bid strategy, provide input into the estimating process, optimize pricing, and develop project teams to acquire and complete profitable contracts.
- Generate market intelligence for capture and subsequent analysis.
- Provide input into development of marketing communications and product portfolio decisions.
- Remain current on sales performance and provide sales reports as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Business, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Construction Management, or other related field required.
- 5+ years related sales experience in the energy, pipeline, and/or municipal markets with demonstrated success.
- Strong people management and decision-making skills.
- Entrepreneurial energy with a flair for start-up business operations.
- Ability to deal with individuals at all levels of an organization.
- Correspond and verbally communicate in a professional manner with customers.
- Ability to work with complex spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software.
