At Great Wolf Lodge, the Retail and Attractions Supervisor plays a vital role in creating memorable experiences for families by overseeing daily operations in retail and attractions. This leadership position is essential for fulfilling business objectives, supporting the team, and engaging with guests and staff to enhance their overall experience while optimizing profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees daily operations of retail and attractions, including gift shops, arcades, and vending, ensuring adherence to safety and service standards while completing daily tasks.
  • Provides ongoing coaching, motivation, and recognition to team members.
  • Champions company policies and collaborates with department leadership on performance management.
  • Addressees guest inquiries and concerns, escalating feedback to management as necessary.
  • Ensures timely communication and resolution of guest requests and issues with the appropriate departments.
  • Participates in staff scheduling, labor management, and forecasting activities.
  • Conducts daily meetings with team members to set priorities and gather feedback.
  • Monitors team performance, offering real-time feedback and coaching.
  • Ensures retail spaces and attractions are well-organized and stocked, maintaining compliance with safety regulations.
  • Assists in the recruitment and selection of talent for the retail and attractions team.
  • Collaborates with department leaders to create and implement action plans focused on guest service and employee engagement.
  • Engages in performance management activities, including employee evaluations and conflict resolution.
  • Maintains operational quality by ensuring excellent service, adequate inventory, and proper equipment maintenance.
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of safety programs that comply with regulations.
  • Adheres to all standard operating procedures relevant to the role.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year of prior experience in retail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general software systems, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong customer service, conflict resolution, and team-building skills.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or higher in hospitality or a related field.
  • Experience in a leadership role within retail or hospitality.
  • Previous experience in a large family resort or hotel setting.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, stretch, and twist as needed.
