The Memory Care Director is a key leadership position at Bonaventure Senior Living, responsible for overseeing the operations of our memory care program. This role requires a strong understanding of resident needs, state regulations, and company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Hire, train, supervise, and schedule care staff members to ensure exceptional care for residents.
- Coordinate and monitor all services related to resident care needs through service plans, ensuring timely updates and communication with residents and family members.
- Provide hands-on training and support to medication aide and caregiving staff, promoting a culture of excellence in care delivery.
- Alert the Registered Nurse Consultant to any changes in resident condition, ensuring prompt attention and care.
- Conduct regular audits of the medication administration program to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Address resident and family concerns in a timely and professional manner, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
- Model leadership and maturity to staff, presenting a professional image to residents and family members.
- Hold or obtain a state-issued Administrator License in Oregon.
- Ability to communicate effectively with culturally diverse care staff and residents.
- Exemplify leadership, respect, and maturity in interactions with team members, residents, and their families.
- Demonstrated experience in supervising team members and providing training and support.
- Strong understanding of state regulations and company policies and guidelines.
- English language proficiency required.
- CPR Certification preferred.
- Pass a criminal background check and drug test.
