Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual for the position of Laboratory Technician 2 at South Puget Sound Community College.
About the Role: The Craft Brewing and Distilling program at South Puget Sound Community College prepares students for a career in craft beverage production. The Tumwater Falls Laboratory was created to support student learning in the Craft Brewing and Distilling program and also provide analytical testing for craft beverage producers.
Responsibilities: As the Laboratory Technician 2, you will support the goals of the laboratory by analyzing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beer, and expanding into cider and distilled spirits analysis. You will also have the opportunity to gain lab experience through volunteer, paid hourly, and undergraduate research.
Requirements: We are seeking a creative, self-motivated chemist who is committed to increasing cultural diversity with an emphasis on equity and inclusion among its professional staff. A firm understanding of anti-racist policy development coupled with the skills to eliminate barriers that harm underrepresented people is a college requirement.
