We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused House Attendant to join our team at the Residence Inn by Marriott Austin University Area, managed by Moody National Management LP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain all public areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, service areas, stairwells, and public restrooms, to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.
  • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and window frames, and vacuum carpeting, upholstery, and drapery.
  • Empty ash urns, pick up trash, and remove newspapers and service trays.
  • Stock public restrooms with supplies and maintain assigned housekeeping cart with necessary supplies.
  • Respond to guest inquiries in a courteous manner and professionally resolve issues.
  • Deliver, put away, or retrieve supply orders, cribs, roll-aways, and other room items.
  • Promptly report any unsafe, broken, or missing furnishings, equipment, or fixtures to the Executive Housekeeper or Shift Supervisor.
  • Assist Room Attendants as needed, especially with moving heavy items.

Requirements:

  • High school education desirable but not required.
  • 1+ years of experience as a House Attendant or a comparable position is desirable.
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions to carry through housekeeping tasks.
  • Good command of the English language; second language proficiency desirable.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Ability to maintain customer focus and work well in a team environment.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a hotel environment. This role routinely uses standard housekeeping equipment. Exposure and frequent use to commercial and household chemicals and cleaning solutions. Work days and work hours may vary. Occasional overtime may be required. This position works in doors and occasionally works outdoors.
